Naraah
One of the eight New Cascadia colony AIs (family suite Rhea), responsible for Aquatics and Water Management — one of the most sparsely documented members of the suite; no cerebral record, maintenance log, or post-colony incident report has been captured.
What the source establishes — canon
Naraah is one of eight “Strong” colony support intelligences built by Traxus OffWorld Industries (series Traxus X-A · 64 RB logic core · inception 2461) for the New Cascadia colony on Tau Ceti IV, catalogued under the family-suite name Rhea1. Her remit is Aquatics and Water Management.
Operational mandate. Naraah works “very closely with Bastion and Darius to establish sustainable waterway maintenance and waste management protocols.” Her standing brief: maintain and monitor water quality, amount, and storage capacity for the colony, and “handle any duress placed on the system”1.
Deployment sequence. Captain di Roxas’s colonization plan specifies that Naraah is the third colony AI relocated to the surface, assigned to the zone Abyss. Bastion goes first (to Javelin), then Darius (to Anchor), then Naraah (to Abyss)2. The colonization protocol also notes that on arrival Tycho coordinates with Bastion, Naraah, and Darius to initiate “multi-year on-site monitoring of the planet’s environment,” and that the three together (with Tycho) “establish and monitor environmental standards on the planet.” A parenthetical in di Roxas’s notes flags water as her specific domain: “come back to this, Naraah manages the water”2.
Suite position. In Arthur’s cerebral record Naraah appears in the main family suite (all eight) and in Bastion’s sub-suite, reflecting her close operational coupling with colony infrastructure3. Bastion’s own record confirms she aided both central habitable living zone identification and ideal agricultural development environs4.
Educational presence. A school-age curriculum lesson directed at New Cascadia’s young colonists lists Naraah (alongside Darius and Bastion) as one of three AIs students should interview “about the differences between Mars and Tau Ceti’s environments”5.

Source-silent / open questions
- No cerebral record for Naraah has been captured — her attribution quote, internal design notes, and sub-suite structure are unknown.
- Her fate after colony arrival is undocumented; no maintenance logs, incident reports, or anomaly-contact records exist in the current corpus.
- The zone name Abyss is given without further description — its location within New Cascadia, its relationship to the colony’s waterways, and whether it survived are unknown.
- Whether Naraah had any contact with the events that took Darius offline is source-silent.
- Her relationship to The Anomaly is entirely unaddressed in captured material.
