Despite outward appearance informed by casual interactions and support, Lilith and Joy do not have the most intimate connection with the colonists. That honor falls to Gabriel. As an active participant in the “waking” and acclimation cycling of every colonist, Gabriel has access to every layer of a colonist’s medical history and identity. Gabriel prides himself on being the most fully informed about any given colonist’s state of function and, by extension, the minute-to-minute stability of the colony.
