TRIAGE PRIME ABILITY: REBOOT+

OVERVIEW: REBOOT+ is the perfect healing weapon where the meaning of “weapon” translates differently depending on use of this ABILITY.  

USE CASE 1: You have a downed crewmate in a hostile environment. Simply ready REBOOT+, target the crewmate, and fire. REBOOT+‘s defib actuators will get your crew back on their feet, giving you another mobile weapon, or bullet sponge, to aid in your survival. 

USE CASE 2: You are in a tight spot and a rival RUNNER or other threat needs addressing. Easy. Ready REBOOT+, aim at the threat [within range], and fire. REBOOT+‘s defib actuators will hit the target with an EMP blast that should provide some advantage in concluding the engagement. 

OPERATION: 

    • Ready REBOOT+ defibs 

    • AIM at target [downed crew or enemy] 

    • FIRE defibs to… 

         • REVIVE downed crewmate 

         • EMP enemy target 

HISTORY: REBOOT+ is a standard-issue augmentation included in the basic TRIAGE SHELL operational package. Designed for and generally used by emergency services, the fact RUNNER’s have turned REBOOT+ into a lifeline and a weapon for use in hostile ZONES is just another indicator of their willingness to find what works to get the job done.
