LOCATION: South Central Marsh
INSIGHT: ALGAE PONDS’ central location makes it a dangerous REGION to explore. Beyond the general threat of UESC Security patrols and the rising concern over nocturnal phenomena across “NIGHT MARSH,” any centralized REGION comes with heightened risk of rival RUNNER encounters as crews scavenge their way across a ZONE.
OVERVIEW: As a dedicated facility for active experimentation in curating sustainable food stuffs to help fuel colony longevity, ALGAE PONDS was a core element of DIRE MARSH’s ag-hub responsibilities. What remains unclear, is the extent to which its placement between the ANOMALY and the QUARANTINE site affected its crops and when/if any tainted product was shipped beyond the ZONE.
NOTICE: A UESC NETWORK TOWER is located at the northern edge of ALGAE PONDS.
REMARK: High ground has many advantages. In the dark of night, an elevated POV allows a RUNNER to scout for distant illumination and adjust their intentions accordingly.
